The Impossible Railroad by motorcycle!
Here are some photos we took of a couple guys riding the gorge on motorcycles. They made it past one collapsed tunnel, but the trail around this one is a little more dangerous. Right about now, these guys are realizing that there's no way around these boulders. They are going to have to push and lift and struggle to get their bikes past this part of the trail with the fallen rocks in the way.
Or, In this case, I think it's lift and push.
And in their own words...
"When we were pushing my bike around the boulders, I kept telling my buddy, If this thing falls my wife will kill me. The bike is only 2 months old! We'll have to tell her that it got stolen somehow..."
All right! Now you're getting somewhere!
Hey, wait a minute, where's the other bike?
You mean you've got to go through all of that again?
Oh well, the things we do for adventure!
Now that they've made it around the tunnel, there's no turning back. It'll be getting dark in a couple of hours. Best to ride through the rest of the gorge and take the highway back to the desert.
