About me:

I lead the CyberInfrastructure Services and Solutions (CISS) group under the the Data Enabled Scientific Computing (DESC) division at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. My primary areas of research focus are in fields of distributed computing, Cyberinfrastructure (CI) development, scientific data management and reproducible science. Since 2005, I have been working on various projects related to reducing the complexity of using CI resources such as developing metascheduling tools, creating science gateways, providing scientific computing support, and leading training effort

As a PI, Co-PI or Key Personnel, I have been involved in various NSF, NIH, and SDSC internal funded projects that involve developing CI research software, providing CI services to the research community, and carrying out HPC related research. Link to projects page. I oversee the operations and user support of UC San Diego's campus cluster, called the Triton Shared Compute Cluster (TSCC).
I am a recipient of the SDSC Pi person of the year for 2021.
