This is the boat I went to the Coronado Islands on. The photo was taken from Dive Connection's Website www.gottadive.com. I highly recommend using their services for anyone interested in making this trip. The crew was curtious and very helpful. They made sure my diving experience was one of the best. This trip is a must even for the newly certified diver.

Here I am standing on the rear deck. The boat is moving pretty fast, you have to hold on. Behind me are a couple of the smaller islands. They are known as the "middle grounds".

This photo was taken while I was in the water with my fuji quicksnap waterproof camera. We are anchored at a spot known as "Lobster Shack" on the North Island. This was our first divesite. The rocky bottom drops down to sand around 50 ft with lots of different kinds of fish.

This view is looking at the dive platform on the rear of the boat. This is where we enter and exit the water. The steep rocky shore is typical of these islands.

Here we are hovering above a large school of greenback mackeral, there were literally thousands of fish in a school that can only be described as a giant moving wall of fish. This was undoubtedly one of the high points of this dive.

This is another photo showing how densely packed the school of fish was. Unfortunately, I had to photograph them from the surface due to the limitations of the camera.

This photo was taken from the surface looking down about 30 feet. The diver is actually surrounded by the school of mackeral.

This photo shows the edge of the school of fish. I wanted to show some of the bottom so you can see what it looks like.

And finally, this is a last shot after we have finished our last dive and are heading for home.
