Most of the people that know me are aware that I have a very hard time ending my workday. But as it turns out I have no hard time at all to free my head as soon as I start taking pictures. It is wonderfully relaxing for my soul and mind and no matter how the photos come out I always feel better.

I used to take hundreds of slides with a Pentax Z10 and before that (~1990) I took slides and black-and-white shots with a Praktica and a Lomo.

I left my film camera in Germany and ventured into digital in 2001. My first digital pictures were taken with a Nikon Coolpix E995 (2048 x 1536). In 2003 I switched to a Canon EOS 10D with a native resolution of 3072 x 2048 with its 6.1 Megapixel chip. With this class of cameras (SLR) the lenses are extra and I equipped myself with the 16 x 35 EF L 2.8 wide angle lens and the 70 -200 EF L IS 2.8 tele zoom lens plus an EF2X II Extender which gives me in combination with the telezoom lens (and the 1.6 factor for the 10D) a 600 mm lens.

Feel free to download the pictures and do whatever you want with them as long as it is used for non-commercial purpose and the authorship is preserved. If you like to use the pictures commercially or if you have any other comments or suggestions - please contact me.

If any person depicted wants to be taken off display let me know and I will do so immediately (I tried to be sensible before putting these pictures up, but in any case your vote prevails).
