Abe Singer

Mihi crede, ego sapio quis ego sum effectus

Abe is the Computer Security Manager at the San Diego Supercomputer Center where he is responsible for the security of SDSC networks and systems.

He recently co-authored Building a Logging Infrastructure with Dr. Tina Bird, and is currently writing on log analysis for O'Reilly and Associates, due out Fall 2005/Winter 2006.

Abe's also a proponent of Security Without Firewalls. You can have really effective security without relying on a firewall, probably even better.

Abe is a regular speaker, semi-regular writer, and occasional consultant.
