PROJECTS
-
NPACI Rocks - Clustering Toolkit based on RedHat 7.1.
-
NPACI Rocks is an open-source
toolkit that is extensible and scalable. Many groups are using this
toolkit to run their clusters. Current version is 2.1
-
TeraGrid: A new Cyberinfrastructure for the 21st Century
-
TeraGrid is a recently-funded project by NSF to build a distributed
grid infrastructure. Starting in 2002, TeraGrid will deploy over
13TFlops of computing, 500TB of spinning disk, and a 40Gigabit/sec
WAN.
SDSC ,
NCSA ,
Caltech , and
Argonne are partners in this
adventure.
-
BIRN - Biomedical Informatics Research Network
-
Building a network and grid of biomedical imaging experts to allow
scientists to share and query distributed MRI data. The BIRN
Coordinating Center (BIRN-CC) is a partnership with SDSC and
NCMIR at the
UCSD School of Medicine.
-
GRIDS Center
-
SDSC is partnered with
NCSA ,
ISI ,
Argonne , and
Univ. of Wisconsin to
distribute production-quality grid infrastructure.
-
PVM - Parallel Virtual Machine
-
I used to be an active member of the PVM development team.
-
CUMULVS
-
CUMULVS is a middle-ware that allows parallel programs to easy
incorporate real-time visualization and steering.
Jim Kohl and I designed
and implemented the software. Jim is in charge of development for
CUMULVS now and has taken it to new places.
